چکیده

This study empirically examines the impact of climate change on cereal production in selected lower-middle-income countries with a balanced panel dataset spanning 1971–2016. The uses average annual temperature and rainfall to measure change. Besides this, CO2 emissions, cultivated land under production, rural population are used as control variables. Second-generation unit root tests, i.e., CIPS CADF, test stationarity Feasible generalized least square (FGLS) fully modified ordinary (FMOLS) models achieve objective. Pedroni cointegration confirms presence between findings show that rise reduces countries. In contrast, emissions have positive effect production. For robustness purpose, Driscoll-Kraay standard regression dynamic (DOLS) also found similar results. Dumitrescu-Hurlin has bidirectional causality emissions. Also, unidirectional is running from adverse effects likely pose severe implications for food security. paper recommends governments sample should research develop heat-resistant varieties crops cope ensure
